Travel to Tallinn for beautiful Tallinn holidays

For a longer visit Tallinn has much more for you to enjoy, but first let's talk about Tallinn travel. Getting around is very easy, there are regular local buses, a tram system and most taxi drivers speak good English. Most Tallinn travel can be done by foot, especially if you are staying in accommodation in the old town which is close to many of the best sites and attractions.

When you visit Tallinn for a longer trip, some other great things you can see are: The artillery tower (Kiek in de Kok), Church of St. Nicholas, Pirita beach, the Town Wall, and Toompea Hill. Of course, this doesn't include all the great shops, restaurants, cafes and markets to explore. If you can, its a good idea to have more than a weekend in Tallinn.

Tallinn weekend or longer stay?

When you visit Tallinn what to do and what to see are important questions for getting the most from your trip. Also you need to decide whether a weekend in Tallinn is long enough to enjoy all the sites and attractions.

When making your Tallinn travel plans have a look at the opposite column on this page and decide which things you really must do when you visit. This info will give you an idea of whether you can fit everything into a Tallinn weekend or need to allow more time. If staying in the old town of Tallinn travel times to many of the best sites with certainly by shorter, meaning you can see and do a lot more during your visit.

Tallinn breaks should include a visit to Alexander Nevsky cathedral

At a minimum you should be thinking about a long weekend, but really a week or more is needed to visit Tallinn and enjoy it to the full.

A couple more things you should see, whether you choose a Tallinn weekend or longer Tallinn visit. The first is the flower market on Viru street - a long row of open front shops with beautiful flowers on display. The second is view from the higher part of the old town - quite magnificent (one of the best view points is off of Rahukohtu street). Enjoy your visit to Tallinn.
